11. Complementary therapies

• Photoprotection: ultraviolet radiation can activate JDM, so it is recommended to apply sun protection and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, especially during the hours of maximum radiation.
• At present, there is no evidence that a change in diet improves the course and/or prognosis of the disease, so a complete and balanced diet for the patient's age is recommended, without the need to exclude any specific food.
