If another defect is suspected, depending on the medical criteria, further tests will be performed. Some of these tests may include an audiometry, ocular tests, imaging tests such as a MRI scan (magnetic resonance imaging) or others. These will help diagnosing other less common defects such as hearing loss, blindness, developmental disabilities or mental retardation.
