The optimal pain treatment for patients with all forms of EB requires uniting the effects of pharmacological and non-pharmacological (without drugs) interventions. In general, but specially in chronic pain, an early treatment of pain is recommended. This means that, if we treat pain before it appears or increases its intensity, it will be easier to manage it, as opposed to waiting for it to be established.
