1.2. The Braille display

The Braille display is a device that can be connected to the computer by either USB cable or Bluetooth, through which the text that appears on the screen can be read in Braille. As in the previous case, images, photos, and graphics are excluded. See and example here.

Braille displays are always used in conjunction with screen readers, both on computers and mobile devices, although they can be used independently on certain instances.

For people who may have some difficulty handling a smartphone, there are specific cell phones for blind people. Large and separate keys, screen reader, and very well defined options: making calls, sending SMS, and little else.
