Juvenile dermatomyositis

Different environmental factors have been described that can act as triggers in genetically predisposed individuals, such as infections, exposure to sunlight, vaccination or exposure to drugs. It is believed that these factors can activate genes that under normal conditions are inactive and favor the development of disease.
