Juvenile dermatomyositis

The immune system plays a fundamental role in the development of JDM, since there are a series of disorders in its functioning that are directly related to the appearance, persistence and evolution of the disease.

JDM is considered an inflammatory disease with a predominant alteration of the adaptive immune system (presence of autoantibodies).
