3. Cryptorchidie

Cryptorchidism is the absence of descent of the testicles into the scrotal sac. It is a developmental abnormality that is relatively common in children with low muscle tone (hypotonia), making it fairly frequent in children affected by SK who also have hypotonia. In those cases where spontaneous descent does not occur, an evaluation by a specialist should be conducted before the age of 2 to determine the most appropriate treatment.
