Myotonic dystrophy

Myotonic dystrophy is a genetic disorder. It is classified as a neuromuscular disease, but it affects many different systems in the body, not just the muscles. The genetic fault that causes myotonic dystrophy is present at birth but symptoms may become noticeable at almost any age.

In this resource, a general introduction to the disease will be explained, the causes, symptoms and prognosis. Also, a special section about psycho-social support is presented to be provided by better resources and tools.
