We are delighted to announce that our 3rd Call4Projects will be accepting applications until September 30th.

Research in rare diseases faces significant challenges due to the limited number of patients and geographical and linguistic barriers. In light of this, Share4Rare has made it a priority to foster the development of research projects in this field that emphasise the patient's perspective and ensure their accessibility to all.

For our third edition of the Call4Projects, we extend a warm invitation to patient organisations and research groups to submit their project applications for implementation on our platform.

Share4Rare is particularly interested in supporting projects, whether qualitative or quantitative, that contribute to a deeper understanding of rare diseases. These projects may focus on various aspects, such as the impact of the disease on the quality of life for individuals affected by or living with it, the description of the disease's natural history, the evaluation of specific treatment side effects, the prognosis of the disease, or even the creation of patient registries.

Throughout the entire research process, the Share4Rare team will provide comprehensive assistance. This includes support in presenting the project to the Ethics Committee, continuous accompaniment of patients throughout the study, and the provision of a results report to facilitate subsequent publication.

We believe that by collaborating and leveraging the expertise of both patient organisations and research groups, we can make significant advancements in rare disease research.

To apply for this call:

  1. Read the Call4Projects Rules for Submission.
  2. Fill in the Contact Form, the Application Form, and the Letter of Financial Commitment.
  3. Submit the three documents to info@share4rare.org before September 30th at 17:00h CEST.

The Call4Projects will remain open until September 30th, 2023. From the proposals received, the scientific committee will carefully review and select two projects. These selected projects will be co-financed by the Sant Joan de Déu Research Foundation, with a contribution of 50% towards their implementation.

If you have any doubts or questions before submitting your application, please feel free to contact us at info@share4rare.org. We are here to provide any necessary clarifications and support throughout the application process.
